
INNOCENT EWEAN DAVIDSON, (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. (Eng.) (Hons) and MSc (Eng.) degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 1984 and 1987 respectively, Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Cape Town, in 1998; PG Diploma degree in Business Management, from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, in 2004. He is a Full Professor and Director, French South African Institute of Technology (F’SATI), and the African Space Innovation Center (ASIC), Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), Bellville, South Africa. He is the author/co-author of over 425 technical papers in accredited journals, peer-reviewed conference proceedings and book chapters. His current research interests include Space and CNS Innovation, machine design, smart grids, and applied artificial intelligence. He is a Fellow, Institute of Engineering and Technology, UK; Fellow, South African Institute of Electrical Engineers; Chartered Engineer in the U.K.; and a registered Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.), of the Engineering Council of South Africa.
